Cherie Blair and other KPIs at the Entrepreneur Brand Accelerator

It was a tough call to make when I decided to try out something new and hire out the Science Museum in Kensington to organise this year’s final Entrepreneur Brand Accelerator.  Tough because we’ve never hosted a business event at a venue like this (or attended one for that matter), so I was quite apprehensive of how it would all come together.KPI Brand Accelerator

Screen Shot 2013-10-14 at 11.50.29After month’s of planning, strategising , getting the right audience in place and an incredible team by my side, we set up at the Science Museum for an inspiring and informative one-day event.

It was an early start with the team, but my heart was filled with joy as I walked the path which the delegates were going to take, through the agricultural revolution, the industrial revolution, the technological revolution … to the current idealogical revolution.

It was just like walking through time.

The hour before the start of the event felt like 10 minutes.

Before I knew it, 9am was upon us and it was time to open the doors and let the fun begin.

I kicked off  the day with a huge welcome and setting the scene for what would follow throughout the day.

My highlight was giving a real life example of a good pitch to the audience and by demonstrating it’s power in real life when I brought up Cherie on stage. I had a few people in the audience tell me later that when that happened their jaws dropped  … they were not expecting it! I love springing a good surprise !

The real life example I gave them was how I met Cherie Blair 18 months ago. Now, through the power of a good pitch, I am partnering with the Cherie Blair foundation to help women get empowered in Third World countries.

Cherie talked about her involvement  of empowering women in Third World countries (a subject close to my heart) through her mentoring programme. At Entrevo (KPI), we’re proud to partner with several charities such as Peace One Day, Buy1Give1, The Hunger Project and the Cherie Blair Foundation. For this event (and the one in June) we had partnered with the Cherie Blair Foundation and any amount raised on the day goes to the foundation to support their initiatives.

They also loved Daniel Priestley’s talk about the Entrepreneur Revolution and how the game has changed.  We went through a lot of content and next on stage was Mike Harris – the founder of three billion pound companies.

The day continued with a string of experts that are trainers on the Key Person of Influence Programme  . . . Mindy Gibbins-Klein, Nic Rixon, Penny Power and Julia Langkaehr.

And delegates at the day were delighted to be able to support the foundation – as all funds raised on the day went straight to the charity.

What I really enjoyed from the day was the audience participation, their feedback and most importantly the fact they were getting so much value from the day.

Throughout the event were numerous examples of fellow KPIs (those who have been through the Key Person on Influence Programme) whose businesses have transformed.  We had Micheal Serwa who wrote the book “From Good to Amazing” , Marcela Flores who has brought her range of Mexican food to Whole Foods to Dr. Terry Loong who runs her clinic in Harley Street and many more . . .

Growing up, I have modelled for many jewellery brands in India and Singapore , but this was the first time I got to model for shoes.

Clayton, who is a friend and now a client, has recently launched his own range of exclusive shoes called “Decaj”. I had a bit of fun wearing the sparkly shoes . . .  that and exhibiting the beautiful floral design by another KPI ‘Elizabeth Marsh’.

Have  I told you recently that I love what I do ?

Signing off with gratitude..

Delightful write-up of a fantastic, inspiring day full of surprises! Congratulations to you and the whole team on experimenting with an interesting new venue, one so fitting for the theme of social change culminating in the Entrepreneur Revolution. Such a coup getting Cherie Blair as special guest and so good to know KPI is supporting such worthy global causes! Exciting times indeed!
